How to Take a Template of an Inside Back of a Curved Chair
In this video we show you how to take a template of an inside back with a significant curve and a shape to it
Lesson Description
In this video we show you how to take a template of an inside back with a significant curve and a shape to it, which means you won't be able to use just one piece of fabric to cover the inside back - you're going to need seams, which is where a template come in handy!
In this video you'll learn how to map out your seams to make sure they fall nicely on the chair and then how to take a template of the separate pieces with a nifty tip to make sure they line up perfectly again when transferring them over to your fabric.
We'll also teach you how to take a perfectly symmetrical template every time!
We have broken the video down so you can easily find the section you want, here are the time stamps:
01:38 - Laying on the templating fabric
07:35 - Mapping out the seams
12:16 - Making allowances to the template and making it perfectly symmetrical
17:05 - Transferring the template on to the fabric
