Lesson Description

This video is the second part to a templating video that you'll find in the advanced section of the academy. However, we thought the technique of making, padding and filling a cushion interior is beneficial to beginners as its also something you'll learn when you first go and work in an upholstery workshop - this is one of the first things I learnt myself! So we have included this part of the video in the beginners section too.

This technique can be applied to any shaped cushion including square seat cushions so don't be put off by the shape of the cushion in this video.

We have broken the video down so you can easily find the section you want, here are the time stamps:

00:53 - Explaining the height of the foam for the seat cushion
02:12 - Explaining the allowances given to the foam to fill the cushion cover
04:52 - Cutting the foam
06:48 - Padding the cushion
10:12 - Gluing the edges down for a clean finish
13:44 - Stocking net
17:22 - Filling the cushion
