Lesson Description

In this video you'll learn how to measure the seat cushions and the allowances to give when there is more than one cushion to make. We'll show you how to cut your cushions and how to give them bows so that they have a more luxurious finish.

You'll learn how to work out how much zip border to cut and examples of when you should take the zip around the corners and when you shouldn't. You'll also learn what to do when your border is longer than a width of fabric.

We'll teach you how to plan out cutting your fabric when your cushion faces are small enough to fit next to each other and then when they are too large to be cut next to each other. If you need to run your fabric, we'll show you how to plan your cuts for that too!

We have broken the video down so you can easily find the section you want, here are the time stamps:

00:45 - How to measure the cushion sizes
07:12 - Cutting the fabric
10:08 - Bows explained
27:45 - Planning your cuts on your roll of fabric
